**Job Description**:
As a Chassis Design engineer, member of the Chassis Systems Design team of Applus IDIADA, your mission will be being involved in Brakes development (Foundation or Modulation)
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Component ownership for one or more brakes component.
- Ensure an appropriate packaging for the components
- Manage the technical definition and the diversity of the assigned components
- Change management of the BOM.
- Supplier management.
- Generate part numbers in the system according to the technical definition
- Support mule and prototype vehicles assembly as required.
- Generate the orders for prototypes according to project milestones
- Writing technical/scientific documentation and monitoring reports.
- Participation in project meetings and in cross-functional design reviews.
- Work alongside other technical departments.
- Work on the 3D models to make studies or suggest modifications to the suppliers.
**Qualifications**:
**Education**
- University degree: Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering. Specialised in Mechanics or in Automotive.
**Language Skills**
- Fluent English
- French highly desired
**Profile Requirements**
- Previous automotive OEM experience in brakes components (Tier 1 component experience also considered)
- Understanding of OEM processes and gateways.
- CATIA V5 2D/3D skills. (3D experience highly beneficial)
- Knowledge of GD&T principles and tolerance analysis
- Good communication skills and confident in discussions at different levels
- Recognizable empathy, with team spirit, and with high level of assertiveness
- Committed, goal driven, with successful result orientation and with strong service orientation.
- Open to work in a very international company with multicultural team
- A proactive attitude
