For our office in **Madrid **we are looking for a driven and result-oriented finance professional, who will be responsible for management of the different accountants ensuring and reviewing the accuracy of the accounting books and financial statements of each entity of the south European countries.
For our office in Madrid we are looking for an International Senior Accountant:
**Your responsibilities**
- Management of the different accountants ensuring and reviewing the accuracy of the accounting books and financial statements of each entity of the south European countries.
- Management of supporting documentation for bookkeeping and supporting files.
- Reviewing the preparation of tax compliance forms for the different south European countries (VAT declarations, CIT, etc.)
- Ensure the accurate and timely submission of monthly-basis financial statements.
- Ensure the homogenization of the accounting standards/principles among all the countries and the group policies.
- Management of the international team of accounts in different countries.
- Support the finance function in all the countries by providing the financial input and coordinate the different accountants with the local financial controllers to ensure the level of communication so although working remotely, everything is still running efficiently.
- Creation and development of internal financial controls associated to the accounting process, evaluating their robustness, reasonableness, and implementation.
**Your qualifications**
- Degree in Business Administration or similar academic background.
- 5 - 10 years of professional experience in a similar position in a finance department or in a outsourcing firm or as a consultant. Big four background as a plus.
- Strong technical accounting background and experience in accounting, reporting or planning and tax compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in Spanish and English. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. German, Portuguese or Italian will be an asset.
- High capacity to adapt to changes and new processes taking ownership on them with a proactive approach.
- Being able to manage workloads, prioritize tasks and work through strict deadlines.
