Our team works closely with creative and prolific engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop solutions that improve our consumer experience. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

As a Product Manager at Alight, you are responsible for defining desirable, viable, feasible, and/or sustainable solutions for the Payroll & Cloud business that meet Alight’s customer needs and for support development across the entire product life cycle.

We are looking to strengthen the product management team with a primary focus on
- Alight’s next generation “payroll assistant” called Eloise, allowing payroll operations to analyze the payroll results in real-time throughout the payroll cycle runs and to ensure that people are paid accurately and timely
- Alight’s Payroll Analytics solution delivering meaningful insights to clients on their payroll data for informed decision making.

A Product Manager key responsibilities are to:

- Translate business strategy into product strategy, vision and roadmap.
- Own the product roadmap throughout the product lifecycle
- Continuously explores the solution context, gathering qualitative and quantitative insights about the market dynamics and user preferences
- Engages directly with customers throughout the product life cycle to ensure that the customer needs are built into the product strategy from the start and remain reflected in released solution as the customer’s needs change over time
- Drive action throughout the organization to get products to market
- Provide product marketing with insights on key differentiators and messages
- Translate solution concepts into features that can be delivered by Agile Teams and achieve measurable business outcomes.
- Manage and support prioritization of the backlog
- Leverage the Continuous Delivery Pipeline to release value with optimal market timing
- Plan and carry out product launches
- Provide insight to stakeholders on the product and market

The individual will be involved in the following critical activities:

- Understand markets, competition, and user requirements in depth.
- Launch new products and features, test their performance, and iterate quickly.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, marketing, legal, UX, and other teams on cutting edge technologies.
- Develop AI-based solutions to problems by collaborating as needed across regions, product areas, and functions.

Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of technical product management experience such as creating strategic product roadmaps and working with cross-functional teams.
- Experience driving product vision, go-to-market strategy, and design discussions.
- Experience developing Internet products and technologies.

Preferred qualifications:

- Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
- Experience managing day-to-day technical and design direction.
- Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, Sales, Customer Support, Payroll, Finance or Marketing.
- Ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority.

Work Experience:

- Previous work experience in payroll is preferred, global payroll industry experience a plus.
- Thorough knowledge and proficiency in working with best-in-class HR and/or payroll solutions
- Prior experience in Jira Align, Microsoft DevOps, Microsoft project (or equivalent), Excel, Power BI and Powerpoint.
- Demonstrated learning agility.
- Ability to interact in technical discussions with IT stakeholders.
