Investigator in Microbiology (International Health)

Microbiology Research Group

Performance of the activities included in a project for implementation of molecular techniques for
Strongyloides stercoralis detection and comparison with classical diagnostic techniques.

Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Biotechnology Degree
- Official Master related to different aspects of molecular biology.
- Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, English (business level)

Desired:
- Catalan

Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- Development and implementation of molecular techniques
- Health sciences research experience

Main responsibilities and duties:
- Development and implementation of molecular and serological techniques for the diagnosis of Strongyloidiasis.
- Processing of molecular techniques for Strongyloides detection
- Management of project documentation
- Database management
- Elaboration of scientific articles

Labour conditions:
- Full-time/Part-time position: 30 h/week.
- Starting date: 01/03/2023
- Gross annual salary: 17.117,42 euros
- Contract: permanent
