**Your role and work environment**:
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic **Data Scientist Chapter Lead** to join our **Modelling Team** for **Data and Analytics in the Customer Interactions Tribe**

The responsibility of this team is to bring our predictive capabilities to the next level, demonstrating the value for clients and business, and multiplying the impact of our solutions in the bank, aligned with group standards. We are proud to be one of the very first banks to work with **agile methodologies**. **Besides, we are lucky to **work with international teams** every day across 44 countries, composed of women and men as equal as they are diverse.

We are looking for a value-oriented person, who has always in mind how we can increase the impact of our predictive analytics in client and business. And lead the team to the next level in the organization

On a daily basis, your work will be something like:
Aprox 60%-70% of your time you will be leading a team of data Scientist, supporting them in the day-to-day activity, encourage optimal collaboration with Data Engineers, collaborate with Data Analyst to find the best analytical solution for Business tribes, sketching and executing a plan to expand predictive capabilities to the whole organization, and deciding the optimal distribution of Data Scientist in a centralized-decentralized approach.

As a chapter lead you give shape and content to the development of your chapter. This concerns both the specific expertise of the chapter and the individual development of the chapter members. You create a culture in which employees take responsibility, help each other to be successful and remain a step ahead.

The other 30%-40% of your time you will work on specific projects closely to other team members to challenge both, technical and user perspective, and define together the best approach. You will also centralize the relation with the group, and help the data scientist to organize their backlog, to accomplish with project goals, and with the transversal tasks

We need a leader who thinks out of the box, finding solutions to implement, in an iterative incremental approach. Building/improving improve predictive models/neural networks using statistical and machine learning techniques (with a deep knowledge of algorithms like Random Forests, Neural Networks, MCMC, reinforcement learning, NLP )

Definitely, your role is to create an optimal process to deliver and give value with advanced analytics across all areas of ING Spain

**Your key responsibilities**:
As a Data Scientist Chapter Lead your key responsibilities will be:
Develop the team, as a group and also individually, stablish knowledge sharing sessions, define quality standards, etc

Work with different areas to understand advanced analytical challenges, and assign the appropriate DS to work for each specific project in a centralized or decentralized way depending on each case

Walk from a Squad mentality to a chapter mentality, encourage accountability, and be sure that the team share main learnings

Keep alignment in the priorities with the DE squad, and determine when it is interesting to share learning sessions

Be sure that we keep a good relationship with the group, following standards, and collaborating with different initiatives

Work together with different areas in the company to understand their situation, and prioritize those advanced analytics solutions that will bring more value for business and clients

Think out of the box, finding solutions to implement, encouraging the team to think in an iterative incremental approach. Automatizing recurrent activities to enable efficiency gains

Assure the build/improve the appropriate predictive models/neural networks using statistical and machine learning techniques.

Recommend ideas to business when data/results are available through good visualizations / predictive algorithms.

Be sure that the users are assisted to understand the data science principles and when needed provide an explanation for the model behaviour and possible correcting actions.

Provide end-to-end data / analytical support for the stakeholders’ actions

Participate actively in the CI Strategy team, being aware and collaborating with Tribe issues
