**Your Responsibilities**:

- As a System Engineer you take over the responsibility for design, planning and deployment of Microsoft SQL Server or Microsoft Azure SQL Database infrastructures
- You will take over responsibility for operation, monitoring and optimisation of business-critical database systems (cloud or on-premise)
- You will administer, configure and implement database systems in standalone and cluster operation
You will have the opportunity to develop processes and enhance the service
- As a Data Engineer you design and build data pipelines and ETL processes for efficient data processing and analysis.
- Develop and maintain data storage and processing systems in a data warehouses
- Ensuring data security, quality, and integrity by implementing appropriate data governance and data management practices
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their data requirements
- You are interested to develop solutions within your ownership, while you collaborate with others in projects, and stay interested in new technologies
- You respond fast on requests or solve efficient incidents, with a service oriented and customer focused mind set
- You have a strong interest working in a distributed team

**Your profile**:

- Bachelor in the field of computer science, successfully completed IT training, or comparable. We also welcome career changers with a high affinity for IT and at least 3 years of professional experience
- Analytical thinking, act process-oriented, independent and structured worker, you come with a distinctive customer orientation
- Sound professional experience in the field of Administration and operation of Microsoft SQL servers and strengths in the conception and implementation of solutions in the DBA environment
- Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MCSE) sound knowledge in Microsoft 365 and Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
- Virtualisation (VMWare, Dogger, Kubernetes) and Administration, powershell scripting, experience is a plus
- Knowledge on project management methodologies (Prince2, PMP equivalent) is welcome
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and solve complex data engineering problems, from data acquisition and integration to data storage and processing.
- Proficient in a wide range of data engineering technologies and tools, including data modelling, ETL tools and data warehousing
- Strong communication and collaboration skills:, Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, to deliver effective data engineering solutions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Fluent (in writing and speaking) in English. Knowledge of German language is a plus
