Development Engineer

IAV is a leading German premium automotive engineering company and technology solution provider with more than 8,000 employees and above 30 years of automotive experience. We are currently strengthening our location in Martorell (Barcelona), Spain, for further customer projects. Therefore, we are looking for several new employees, which would like to shape the future of powertrains and vehicles together with us.

We are looking for recently graduated people with a master or doctor degree in a technical career, which are willing to get a deep dive on technical topics and have fun working in an interdisciplinary international team. Depending on your actual abilities, preferences and performed studies, we will look for the position that best fits to you. The topics you might deal with are listed below.
- Creation of test specifications and implementation of test automation routines
- Planning and organization of testing activities
- Updating vehicles/prototypes and adapting HiL testing environments
- Testing activities in vehicles/prototypes and HiL systems including fault analysis and creation of test reports
- Analysis and handling of complex processes and mechatronic systems
- Creation of model-based solution approaches by means of classical as well as new methods
- Development of new control engineering concepts related to physical problems
- Conversion of the concepts into algorithms ready for series production and suitable for control units
- Review of detailed software designs
- Creation of software code in C or model based software code
- Execution of functional software tests
- Review of software code or model based code implementations

We are looking for recently graduated people or junior professionals whose master or doctor degree is focused on controls, electronics, mechatronics, information technology or similar.

Following skills are required:

- Well-structured and very target oriented working style with very good interpersonal and analytical competencies
- Good understanding of signal conditioning and processing
- Good knowledge of programming and programming languages

Furthermore, your position requires:

- High commitment and self-motivation as well as excellent team and communication skills
- Experience with C/C++, Python, Matlab/Simulink is beneficial
- Fluency in Spanish as well as English, German would be a plus
- Driving license class B

Additional experience or knowledge in the following areas is of advantage:

- Knowledge of, or practical experience with following tools: Confluence, JIRA, CANOE, Diagnostic
- and Test-Management-Tools, TargetLink
- Basic understanding of SW testing processes, methodologies and HIL systems
- Basis knowledge of vehicle architectures/vehicle network and systems engineering
- Basic knowledge about embedded software testing (black box, regression...)
- Basic knowledge of ASPICE
