**Job Title**

R&D project engineer (industrialization and product design)

**_Purpose of the job_**
- Product Industrialization engineer to work on tools to acquire data in railway environment.
- Ensure that industrial processes are adequate and necessary in time, form and quality to achieve the objectives of the working group and ensure the reliability and availability of the equipment.
- Propose, develop and execute projects of applied research and technological development within business services, aimed at the validation in the field of the different developments.

External: Customers, Suppliers, Universities and research centres

**Responsibilities**
- Product design and industrialization engineer for data acquisition in railway environment
- Product Design. Based on initial functional prototypes and operational availability requirements manage the design of data acquisition products with industrial criteria to improve the reliability and availability of the equipment.
- Management of special facilities. Integration for the industrialization of a measuring station based on laser measuring equipment:

- Electric connection.
- Pneumatic connection.
- Integration of precision mechanical equipment.
- Design equipment for safety and health and to guarantee the acquisition conditions.
- Collaboration in the design, development, planning and monitoring of R & D projects both at the technical and economic levels.
- Improvements and analysis of possible cost deviations.
- Create R & D development proposals taking into account ideas proposed internally and externally to the company.
- Continuous learning based on projects results.
- Communication and dissemination of R & D initiatives and collaboration in the implementation of the programs and / or projects developed.
- Participation in offers that include new technologies and / or products developed in R & D.

**Educational Requirements**
- Industrial Engineer, Electromechanical specialty
- Desirable Master's Degree

**Required** **Knowledge** / **Experience**
- Experience in customer projects in industrial facilities.
- Knowledge of Product Development (desirable within the railway sector).
- Knowledge of Mechanical Design, Electrical Systems and Installations
- Domain of CATIA design packages, CAD / CAM, SolidWorks..
- Knowledge of Pneumatic and Hydraulic Connection.
- Knowledge of Planning Software (MS Project, Primavera P6, Redbooth, Gantt Project,...)

**Operational Competencies (Including Functional Knowledge)**
- Good Communications and interpersonal skills, must be able to communicate on all levels including customer facing
- Flexibility & Adaptability
- Proactive in proposing solutions, initiative
- Able to think critically and using good judgment
