- The Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) is the leading supercomputing center in Spain. It houses MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe, was a founding and hosting member of the former European HPC infrastructure PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe), and is now hosting entity for EuroHPC JU, the Joint Undertaking that leads large-scale investments and HPC provision in Europe. The mission of BSC is to research, develop and manage information technologies in order to facilitate scientific progress. BSC combines HPC service provision and R&D into both computer and computational science (life, earth and engineering sciences) under one roof, and currently has over 900 staff from 55 countries.

**Context And Mission**
- The Junior Finance Officer for Project Management will assist in financial and effort projection, monitoring, and reporting of the center's mainly EU and nationally-funded research projects.**Key Duties**
- Collaborate with project Principal Investigators to support financial and human resource planning for the center's nationally and European funded research projects.
- Assist in official periodic and interim reporting of projects to funding agencies and in preparing quarterly reports to project coordinators.
- Update project information in the BSC’s SAP Business One project database and assist in monitoring the budget and income.
- Provide support to the center’s external auditors for the projects and assist in managing necessary documentation.
- Maintain communication with project Principal Investigators and provide assistance with project-related information.
- Support in managing the global overview of some of BSC's Scientific departments and serve as a key contact.
**Requirements**:
- Education
- Degree in Economics, Business Administration or similar
- Master in audits or similar will be valued
- Specific relevant postgraduate or other courses a plus
- Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Average level of English
- Fluent level of Spanish
- 0 - 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
- An understanding of R&D projects is beneficial.
- Familiarity with auditing processes is a plus.
- Knowledge of SAP will be valued

**Conditions**
- The position will be located at BSC within the Management Department
- We offer a full-time contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation procedures
- Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration
- Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement
- Starting date: 01/04/2023
