**IDIBELL is looking for a **Scientific Project Manager for the Hereditary Cancer & PReTT Groups**

**About the research group**

The project is a collaboration between the Hereditary Cancer group, a multidisciplinary research group working on Hereditary Cancer at the Catalan Institute of Oncology, IDIBELL and the Preclinical and experimental research in thoracic tumors group (PReTT), focused on the study of novel therapeutic strategies in thoracic tumors.

**About the role**

**Job requirements**

Professional experience
- Search for grants to support research, that is, identification of international and national calls for grants/funding for research projects
- Research experience in cancer, preferably in data mining and bioinformatics

Education and training
- Bachelor's degree in disciplines related to research in Biomedical Sciences

Technical skills & soft skills
- Expertise in Office 365 tools is required
- Manuscript and scientific writing will be highly valuable, since support in the elaboration of reports and scientific articles is expected
- Knowledge of ML and AI methods in the context of clinical cancer research
- Thorough knowledge of structured data formats and other data standards (FHIR, OMOP )
- Knowledge of current data federation landscape options (e.g. FAIR principles, beacons )

Languages
- Good command of the English language

**We will value, but not required**
- Master's degree will be considered a plus
- Experience in bioinformatics, with deep understanding of clinical bioinformatics methodologies.
- Knowledge of current therapeutic landscape of thoracic tumors
- Proactivity and interest in research
- Specific training and/or previous experience in project management
- Catalan: oral and written

**Our institute**

IDIBELL is a research center that integrates the biomedical research of the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), and the University of Barcelona in the Bellvitge Campus (UB), and the Viladecans Hospital (HV). The research focuses of IDIBELL are cancer, neuroscience, translational medicine and regenerative medicine. Research, innovation and society are the pivots on which researchers work every day in order to improve the quality of life of citizens.
