We are searching for a motivated Project Manager to join the team at Foundation Sant Joan de Déu to provide daily support to European projects in the Project Management Office portfolio.

The International Post-Award Unit manages a portfolio of European projects, including those from the European Commission- Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe. The Project Management Office supports Principal Investigators and other researchers in project coordination. The role involves providing scientific, technical, and managerial support to ensure the success of international projects.

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing projects in the Health and Social fields, with a focus on the JANE II project, a Network involving 121 entities across the European Union.

We are seeking a proactive, creative, and service-oriented individual who can handle both strategic planning and day-to-day project management tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate European projects,
  • Act as an interface between coordinators and teams/stakeholders,
  • Manage day-to-day scientific/technical work as per the plan,
  • Lead Work packages, organize meetings, and gather clinical insights,
  • Prepare project documentation and reports,
  • Facilitate project meetings and committees, and draft agendas and presentations,
  • Provide guidance to partners on project-related matters,
  • Manage project quality and risks,
  • Develop Data Management Plans and ensure compliance,
  • Monitor ethical and regulatory requirements,
  • Track project timelines and activities,
  • Organize project-related events and tasks,
  • Manage EC Portal submissions and economic aspects.

  • REQUIREMENTS
    • PhD in Oncology or related field,
    • Strong scientific background and research skills,
    • Experience in scientific management or coordinating research projects,
    • Knowledge of European project regulations and management,
    • Excellent organizational and time management abilities,
    • Leadership skills and the ability to work under pressure,
    • Effective communication and negotiation skills,
    • Proficiency in English and advanced Spanish,
    • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills,
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively,
    • Numeracy skills and financial report interpretation.
    Additional skills:
    • Knowledge of ethical processes, clinical trials, data management.
