**Company Description**:
We are looking for a **Chief Steward** to join the pre-opening team at **SLS Barcelona**. Under the guidance of the Director of Food & Beverage, the Chief Steward will control the inventory of all equipment, china, cutlery, and glassware as well as managing the stewarding team in order to ensure a clean and safe working environment for the Restaurants and Kitchen team.
**Job Description** What you'll do...**
- Orders and manages necessary supplies. Ensuring workers have supplies, equipment, tools, and uniforms necessary to do their jobs.
- Monitors the inflow of ordered materials and the maintenance of current materials.
- Conducts china, glass and silver inventories.
- Controls inventories of food, equipment, smallware, and liquor, and report shortages to designated personnel.
- Inspects supplies, equipment, and work areas in order to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards.
- Manages all equipment, china and glass.
- Enforces proper cleaning routines for equipment, floors, tools, etc.
- Enforces proper use and cleaning of all dish room machinery.
- Ensures all food holding and transport equipment is in working order.
- Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.

**Qualifications** What we're looking for...**
- 3+ years of experience as Chief Steward in a high volume hotel / restaurant.
- You’re a strong team leader, a natural at managing and inspiring others in a way that gets the best out of them.
- You combine analytical and methodical thinking with high attention to detail and a solution-focused approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in Spanish.
- You have a solid understanding of local legal compliance requirements.

- You are an excellent relationship builder, confident in working with other teams and leaders; you’re passionate about what we can achieve together.
