**Santander Consumer Finance HQ (SCF HQ) is looking for a **Senior Credit Risk Analyst **based in our Boadilla del Monte office (Headquarters).**

**Santander Consumer Finance **focuses on business development related to consumer finance products, sales channels and commercial agreements with dealers, vehicle manufacturers or retail distribution establishments, as well as commercial functions associated with direct sales (branches, call centers or digital channels) and indirect sales (through third parties) of consumer finance products.

**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**

As a **Senior Credit Risk Analyst: Corporate Risk **you will minimise total risk of the wholesale portfolio encompassing dealers and fleet customers across the SCF units whilst building upon the profitable business model and protecting the balance sheets for the future. Track the portfolio together with SCF Units. Implement SCF’s risk policies at local level. Deputise for the Head of Corporate Risk as required.

We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:

- Analyse credit requests that are outside local delegation from dealers and fleet clients of the whole portfolio of SCF. Form a risk-based opinion for review by SCF members of the Global Loan Committee and SCF Loan Committee whilst always considering the commercial arguments.
- Review with counterparts in local Units the relevant credit files, understand the key credit opinions and investigate further as required with the relevant Unit.
- Support the Head of Corporate Risk in reviewing, proposing and implementing changes with respect to the current credit risk and operational policies of the Units to ensure that they are in line with those of SCF HQ.
- Negotiate and discuss with colleagues in SCF Units to ensure that the directives of SCF HQ are incorporated in the credit decision, doing so in a consensual manner whenever possible.
- Support the Head of Corporate Risk to ensure that Corporate Risk policies are being adhered to throughout all Units.

EXPERIENCE
- At least 5 years of experience in Multinational companies with different business cultures in the following fields:

- Financial analysis, Credit Risk, Automotive sector, Dealer facing experience

EDUCATION
- University Degree Level (Finance, Economics, Business studies preferred)

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Fluent in English and French is highly desirable
- Credit Risk and financial analysis
- MsOffice and Management information tools

OTHER INFORMATION
- Flexibility, ability to listen and negotiate
- Ability to obtain the trust and collaboration of people
