**Project description**

Airbus UpNext has the ambition to deliver a disruptive and innovative project to demonstrate the potential of a sustainable power generation source used onboard the aircraft. This demonstrator will have a crucial role in determining the potential of hydrogen as an energy source in aviation.

This position is within the **Airbus UpNext subsidiary in Spain **.**

**Missions**

The demonstrator will integrate complex systems together with new operational constraints. As a consequence we need to adapt an existing aircraft platform for the technology demonstration.

The role of the Airframe Electrical System Installation Engineer will be to contribute to the electrical functional definition and installation design and verification.

You will support the design and integration of the flying platform for the novel system installation. This includes both the new systems and the aircraft structure.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

- Produce the Electrical System installation design and functional definition to integrate the new system in the demonstrator, including electrical harnesses and electrical equipments.
- Produce the Flight Test Installation design for the demonstrator.
- Contribute to the demonstrator electrical system installation End to End process, using both Airbus method and new tools.
- Provide structural/electrical system integration solutions.
- Contribute to the electrical system definition to incorporate airframe/integration requirements according to safety regulations including the lead of particular risk analysis.
- Propose the trade off analysis for different design solutions and concepts.
- Demonstrate compliance of the airframe/electrical system integration design versus validated requirements and safety standards.

The responsibilities and the technical scope of the job might evolve according to the agile working environment of the project, hence being flexible is important.

- At least 5 years’ experience in Electrical System definition and installation
- Expertise in Electrical System design and functional definition tools (CATIA 5, SeeXP, CIRCE )
- Knowledge in standard design methods (e.g. Airbus methods and tools etc.), qualification and certification of electrical system installation components
- Keen to take initiatives to propose simpler and efficient ways of working
- Ready to step out of your comfort zone
