**The Role**

As **Sr.Mng. O-Ran Silicon Dev. Engineer** you will:

- drive proper design and development of efficient Silicon Chips for main OPEN RAN radio components (Radio Unit (RU) and Digital Unit (DU)), filling the major gaps in chips performance and costs in Open RAN at the moment, helping to speed up the adoption of the technology and the participation of the industry.
- create an Industry Leading Edge in Silicon, delivering innovative and future-oriented microelectronics, anticipating the development of feature roadmaps, and standardizing Common and Open Silicon Platform Interfaces.
- drive relationship with OPEN RAN organisations, Industry forums and partners boosting Vodafone´s influence in the industry and positioning Vodafone as a company providing high-level quality Silicon chips, expanding potential revenue sources for Vodafone.
- interface to OPEN RAN Product Teams to drive requirements in cost and performance and validate final solutions against specifications.

What you bring:

- >15 years of relevant experience in mobile operator/Radio supplier environment in the fields of 2G/3G/4G/5G Radio Access Networks
- Proven track record for successful development and delivery of new Radio technologies/final customer solutions, including successful lead of International Programmes in very complex environments
- More than 2 years of experience in OPEN RAN Technology: Driving roadmaps, performing trials or developing software
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to balance and resolve conflicts of interest
- Excellent analytical (listening, questioning, challenging etc.) and communication skills
- Deep Technical expertise in Mobile Access Technologies and Standards incl. 2G/3G/4G/5G. Background in SoC HW and SW ecosystem design and Cloud.
- Experience in virtualised RAN platforms, vRAN, Network Function Virtualisation (NFV), and associated HW and SW architectures and platforms
- Experience developing Radio SW/HW and contributing to large, R&D complex projects
- Programme Management Skills
- University degree in Engineering/ Computer Science or MBA
