A Talent Management Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing talent management strategies, policies, and programs that align with a company’s business goals and support its talent acquisition, retention, and development objectives. They are responsible for managing performance, employee engagement, leadership development, succession planning, and diversity and inclusion initiatives. Here’s a rundown of the job duties these professionals are often responsible for:
**Responsibilities**:
Develop and implement talent management strategies, policies, and programs that align with a company’s business goals and support its talent acquisition, retention, and development objectives.
Manage performance, employee engagement, leadership development, succession planning, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Coordinate and support the development of employee engagement initiatives and strategies.
Maintain inventory of talent management tools and resources.
Execute and measure effectiveness of talent programs.
Partner and collaborate with talent team and HR partners.
Provide on-site/business unit clients TMOD implementation support.
Drive the planning and administration of all talent management, leadership development and team effectiveness programs and practices for a particular organization (site or function).
Focus on succession planning, leadership and team development, coaching, assessment, employee engagement and the use of the appropriate talent management, team and leadership tools and practices to lead leaders, teams and organization to drive performance excellence.
**Requirements**:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in Talent Management or a related field.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of talent management best practices.
Experience with performance management, employee engagement, leadership development, succession planning, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
