**Clinical Research Coordinator**

**Infection and Immunity in the pediatric patient group**

VHIR offers a vacant position for a Clinical Research Coordinator for the Infection and immunity in the pediatric

patient group. This group is part of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Immunodeficiencies Unit created in

1996 as Pediatric Infectious Diseases Unit and consolidated in 2005 like a consulting unit in nosocomial and

opportunistic infections in immunocompromised pediatric patients. It is currently pioneering in this field and its

Master in Pediatric Infectious Diseases is the first in Europe in this discipline. Its research is mainly focused

on severe bacterial, fungal and viral infections in immunocompromised pediatric patients, and reflects both the

daily clinical practice and the recommended directives by the European and National institutions for the

following five to ten years.

Experience in the monitoring of clinical trials, providing support to CRAs activities and managing lab
samples.

Experience in coordinating local, national and international Research Projects.

Advanced level of English (C1 or equivalent). Good command of Spanish and Catalan is also
required.

**Desired**:

Experience in Research Institutions and/or in Project Management within biotech and/or scientific
environments.

Experience within the research area of the group.

**Personal skills: **

Outstanding organizational skills and used to work with deadlines.

Must have the ability to work independently and in a team having excellent skills to establish
interpersonal relationships.

**Main responsibilities and duties: **

Coordination of national and international research projects and management of competitive research
calls, proactively seeking to attract new research funding opportunities.

Coordination and data entry of clinical trials.

Support the research group with the management of technical and administrative tasks.

Link between the research group and the administrative structure of the Institution.
