**Be part of a team where**:
The Targeted Projects Programme is a new Innovation programme that will address the gaps in Innovation’s existing project portfolio and respond to new and emerging technologies.

As a Targeted Projects Officer, you will collaborate with various community partners and stakeholders from both the private and public sector. Your role will involve not only monitoring the progress of ongoing projects but also actively building and nurturing partnerships with a strong focus on technical and commercial aspects.

In the role of a Targeted Projects Officer at EIT Urban Mobility in Barcelona, you will report directly to the Targeted Projects Manager for day-to-day line management and strategic direction.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Actively monitor and report on the commercial and technical performance and compliance of awarded targeted projects.
- Establish and oversee the process for Request for Proposals (RfP), including managing the selection process in accordance with established procedures.
- Assist in the selection, definition, and development of new targeted projects.
- Provide comprehensive justifications, encompassing technical, commercial, and legal aspects, for issuing restricted or direct innovation awards.
- Analyse and identify gaps in the EIT Urban Mobility project portfolio and partner community.
- Foster strong relationships with community partners, extending beyond named interfaces to engage with new teams, divisions, and business units.
- Proactively seek out new partners with specific skills and competences in emerging or innovative solutions.

**What you will bring along the way**:
**Must-Haves**:

- A level of education completed in a Master’s Degree in Business, Social Sciences, Civil Engineer, Computer Science, Urban Transport/Planning, or similar technical Masters’ degree with commensurate experience.
- 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in technology and/or innovation projects.
- 2 years of experience in a commercial client-facing environment such as but not exclusive to consulting or B2B sales
- Fluent in English (C1).
- Ability to quickly evaluate and understand technical and commercial risks and opportunities associated with various types of projects, technologies, and products.
- Strong business writing skills and the analytical ability to distil complex and technical project concepts into clear and easily understandable written language.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive, can-do attitude.

**Nice to have**:

- Any additional European language other than English C1.
- Working experience in coordinating international, multi-stakeholder projects, preferably at EU-level.
- Writing and running public competitions such as open calls, Request for Proposals (RfP), Expressions of Interest (EoI), and/or procurements
- Experience in relevant industries such as smart cities, urban mobility and innovation
- Experience working with Horizon Europe or related European funding programmes

This is a **permanent and full-time position**, with possibility to homework up to 2 days a week.

No relocation expenses are granted.
