As the Head of Cyber Defense Center, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization’s technology infrastructure, data, and systems. You’ll lead a team of skilled cybersecurity professionals, ensuring proactive threat detection, incident response, and continuous improvement of our security posture. Your strategic vision and operational expertise will be instrumental in maintaining a robust cyber defense capability.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Leadership and Strategy:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Collaborate with the Global CISO and other senior leaders to define the vision for the Cyber Defense Center.
- Establish and communicate clear goals, performance metrics, and KPIs for the team.
- Security Operations:

- Oversee 24/7 security monitoring, incident response, and threat intelligence activities.
- Manage security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing impact.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to enhance incident response capabilities.
- Threat Intelligence and Vulnerability Management:

- Stay abreast of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.
- Implement threat intelligence feeds and collaborate with threat hunters.
- Drive vulnerability assessments and remediation efforts across the organization.
- Incident Response Coordination:

- Coordinate with the Crisis lead and IT teams during security incidents.
- Prepare and execute incident response plans, including communication strategies.
- Conduct post-incident reviews to identify areas for improvement.
- Team Management:

- Lead and mentor an international diverse team of cybersecurity professionals.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide career development opportunities.
- Budget and Resource Management:

- Develop and manage the Cyber Defense Center budget.
- Optimize resource allocation to achieve maximum effectiveness.
- Collaborate with procurement for vendor selection and contract negotiations.

**Professional competencies**:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience:

- Minimum of 10 years in cybersecurity, including leadership roles.
- Proven track record in managing security operations, incident response, and threat intelligence.
- Experience in the healthcare or medical technology industry is advantageous.
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or other relevant certifications.
- Residence in Barcelona

**Personal competencies**:

- Strong understanding of network security, cloud security, and emerging threats.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
