The purpose of the roles is to build, manage and lead the local Field Medical Excellence role to assure excellence in execution of FME objectives (incl. launch readiness, MSL deployment, tools/systems and key processes) in alignment with local Franchises, the Regional Field Medical Excellence Head and the Global Field Medical Excellence group.

**Your key responsibilities**:
**Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Lead, manage and ensure the alignment of a local Field Medical organization across Franchises.
- Accountable for building and implementing high quality standardized Field Medical related processes across therapeutic areas and Franchises:

- Responsible for standardization, report and analysis of local metrics to assure alignment in strategy across Therapeutic Areas and Franchises as well as alignment in tools and processes with Global and Across Therapeutic Areas as well as local coaching: processes, tools, guidelines.
- Ensure local insight gathering and exchange across functions, and define engagement strategy/plan and ensure execution as well as establish and maintain processes to optimize communication and exchange including best practice sharing within the Region and Global
- Accountable in ensuring the enhancement of local/CPO Field Medical capabilities (in collaboration with GxP Specialist role):

- Accountable for assessing proactively training needs for local MSL manager/MSL, with respect to capability enhancement in collaboration with ME capabilities team.
- Responsible for planning of MSL manager/MSL training in collaboration with Global, Regional Field Medical Excellence group and Frachises/ GMATs
- Develop and align with Global/Region/CPO standardized KPIs and drive regular tracking and reporting to Regional & Global leadership/Franchises/GMATs. Evaluate feedback together with Region/CPOs and guide corrections if necessary.
- Actively participates in cross functional initiatives (e.g. segmentation, VoC,...) involving MSLs where appropriate and feeding back to the wider medical leadership team any updates from these programs.
- Monitors and keep abreast of industry MSL best practices, trends and direction to enable our field teams to remain current.

**Minimum requirements**

**What you’ll bring to the role**:
**Essential**:

- English: fluent spoken & written. Local language: preferable (requirement based on country needs)
- Proven leadership and experience in the global pharmaceutical industry, of which >5 years in a management and/or team leadership role with preference in Medical Affairs and/or Dev..
- Proven competence in developing strategic capabilities at country and regional level.
- Preferred prior experiences in MSL role.
- Superior leadership skills, including demonstrated ability to effectively lead, coach and manage field-based scientific/medical professionals.
- Strong knowledge of the market preparation and access requirements, encompassing medical strategies and market trends.

**Desirable skills**:

- Proven business mindset including innovative and critical thinking with performance-oriented drive.
- Deep understanding of internal/external ethical guidelines relevant to the industry.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong personal integrity, teamwork and a customer focus are a must
