**Job description**:
AIS, Altea International School, a unique and successful British school in the Costa Blanca, Spain, is looking for a qualified and engaging Science and Geography Subject Teacher for KS3 and KS4 (including Geography IGCSE teaching experience), starting January 2024.

AIS follows the British National Curriculum with Steiner Waldorf orientation and Mindfulness.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Science and Geography Subject Teacher for KS3/KS4 who resonates with the ethos of our school. This is a part-time position, 75%-80% of a full-time role.

**Essential requirements are**:

- Be a fully qualified teacher with experience of the British National Curriculum. (PGCE or QTS)
- Have interest in the Steiner-Waldorf pedagogy and/or other holistic educational approaches.
- Have excellent communication skills and be able to deliver teaching in English confidently.
- Be a vital part of a growing teaching team and promote the school to parents and the wider community.

**Desired requirements are**:

- Have experience in teaching Geography IGCSE (Cambridge or Edexcel).
- Have knowledge and experience of Steiner-Waldorf pedagogy.
- Have interest in the incorporation of mindfulness in education.
- Have the ability to communicate in Spanish.

Another popular event with our pupils are the family excursions, where we come together and enjoy walks into the surrounding countryside.
