The AI Strategy & Innovation team sits within R&D IT. It is the team underpinning the delivery of the ORD AI Strategy 2024 as endorsed by ORD LT. This multi-million-dollar investment serves to provide immense value through utilization of AI across the entire R&D value chain, brining deeper insights, automation, and scale to the portfolio.

To deliver this transformational project, the team is growing in size, both onshore and offshore. As well as this, it will need to continue to act as part of #OneIT to utilize and support solutions from central IT and other teams in R&D IT.

As a Project Manager aligned to the AI Strategy & Innovation Team, you will manage the delivery of projects within the AI Strategy programme of work, ensuring their delivery aligns to the vision and business strategy, and that true business value is delivered to our stakeholders as a result. Having a strong partnership with the stakeholders driving the demand for the solution is critical to success in this role.

The role views process as guidance and looks for innovative means to expedite delivery. You must ensure that delivery occurs with a sense of urgency and can be completed within the approved platform/project budget and timelines, whilst continuously assessing risk and balancing the need for flexibility and agility with conformance to standard methods and tools. Focus areas include stakeholder management across Business, IT, and partners, risk management and delivery of business benefit.

**Requirements**:

- Previous accountability for delivering large projects/programmes with in-house resourced teams with budgets (>$5m)
- Blue-chip or multinational company experience
- Proven project management skills in delivering, leading and controlling large projects (managing plans, budgets and forecasts, tasks, risks and issues, change management and status reporting to support effective decisions and project reporting to stakeholders and review boards)
- Able to chair and facilitate steering meetings, presenting to influence and inform at senior level
- Agile delivery experience including driving the planning and developing complex plans across multiple delivery teams, including working with engineering teams taking solutions into production and through Acceptance to Service processes
- Benefits identification and delivery management - defining value prior to delivery and tracking post delivery
- Development of IT quality documentation management (experience in regulatory IT audits and GxP system delivery)
- Experience of negotiating and working with external vendors and onshore and offshore suppliers
- Background in managing/delivering projects related to harnessing AI technologies
- Experience in the pharmaceuticals industry would be a benefit

Example tasks
- Define project scope, objectives and deliverables for AI Strategy projects
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines and milestones
- Allocate resources and create project team structures
- Monitor and track project progress against plan, providing status updates to various forums
- Identify and manage potential risks and issues
- Coordinate and communicate with team members and stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to project budget and timelines
- Facilitate problem-solving and decision-making with the team

Education Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Professional experience and qualification in project management
