The Position

IT Sourcing & Procurement is Boehringer Ingelheim’s global area in charge of bringing cutting edge and state-of-the-art technologies to our business partners in the Sourcing and Procurement business functions. With a strong set of systems, we support BI in achieving excellence in sourcing strategies and in operational procurement, which, among others, main goal is to meet the needs of our end users in a rapidly changing environment. As a Business Consultant your main responsibilities will be:
Duties & Responsibilities
- Explore new technologies with active experimentation, build demos, proof of concepts and prototypes
- Lead and manage medium to high complex IT projects from beginning to end.
- Be the link between the business and internal or external providers of services.
- Keep a close eye on the market for best practices and stay in contact with our external strategic partners (e.g. SAP) to ensure BI is up to speed on necessary process/system improvements and innovation potential.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
- Functional experience in SAP Ariba Procurement module and SAP-MM Purchasing module in SAP S/4. Experience in S/4 Hana and MDG-S. SAP Analytics Cloud and ABAP is a plus.
- Experience in middleware solutions, on premise and cloud integration (CIG, PI/PO, SAP Cloud Platform and BTP).
- Excellent project management skills based on the successful completion of medium and/or large size projects and experience with a standard Project Implementation life cycle (Standard and Agile).
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Strong communication, collaboration and problem solving skills, proactive thinking, team-oriented attitude, customer oriented mindset and ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks.
