Spectarium Games' established environment team is looking for its newest member to join its growing ranks, working on our very exciting new stylised hand-painted fantasy IP inspired by fantastical mythologies.

As an environment artist, your passion lies in crafting stunning, stylized assets that collectively form breathtaking fantasy worlds for our players to immerse themselves in. You possess a keen eye for scale, perspective, and detail, and enjoy delving into research to ensure the cultural authenticity of props, buildings, and outdoor landscapes.

You’re the kind of person who understands the importance of collaboration and communication. You enjoy seeing your contribution to the bigger picture and relish the opportunity to share your knowledge with your team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create detailed and visually striking 3D environments that align with the artistic vision and technical requirements of the game.
- Utilise your expertise in environmental storytelling to imbue each location with depth, history, and atmosphere.
- Collaborate with level designers to establish blockouts, scale, and gameplay considerations for each mythology.
- Optimise assets and textures to ensure optimal performance across multiple platforms.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, tools, and techniques to continuously enhance your skills and contribute fresh ideas to the team.
- Communicate effectively with your direct lead and producer to ensure alignment on artistic direction, deadlines, and project milestones.

**Requirements**:

- A deep passion for fantasy games and a keen eye for immersive world-building.
- Proficiency in industry-standard 3D modelling and texturing software (e.g., Blender, Substance Painter).
- Strong understanding of environmental design principles, composition, lighting, and colour theory.
- Experience building worlds inside Unity.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and technical constraints.
- At least two years experience working with a development team creating high quality environment assets and/ or one shipped title through to its completion.
