**Global Category Manager - Formulations**

We are looking for you to enhance our international team of category managers for formulation materials. We offer you a job with high visibility to our business partners and large discretion. Looking for a strong contributor you will have the following activities to manage:
**Your tasks and responsibilities**
- You handle global purchasing execution and transition within defined scope by settling purchasing agreements with our suppliers. In that respect you pre-align with core business partners on volume split and award suppliers about product deliveries on seasonal volume definitions. Moreover, you develop strategies for future purchasing processes and coordinate flexibilization projects together with supply chain and other partners. For that you analyze markets and its segments, conditions, price trends, market players and innovation opportunities
- You understand and fulfill the requirements of other business partners like supply chain, regulatory or management of change and support required input to other teams (e.g. budget prices, supply shortages, special market conditions, regulatory topics). You support target achievements such as savings, price index, working capital, sustainability goals and other key performance indicators.
- You act according to all procurement standards to assure that Bayer's business and sustainability standards are consistently maintained and improved. You improve quality level and definition together with the business partners about quality requirements of formulation materials for our suppliers to meet the European market requirements.
- You conduct supplier management supervising the supplier performance and steering the required level of service. Handling suppliers as strategic partners you lead innovation projects together with Bayer's R&D teams and our supplier landscape.

**Who you are**:

- You have a master’s degree in technical, commercial or business administrations.
- You show long-term experience in purchasing or marketing/sales or an equivalent area. Based on your good technical expertise/understanding of chemical substances or formulation technology you have deep understanding of the chemical market, its special aspects and related suppliers.
- The company's policies and management need your integer action accordingly. You are able to lead virtual teams within Bayer but also external partners (suppliers). Your analytical capabilities and creative intellectual power (out of the box thinking) distinguish you from others.
- Furthermore, you can work together on all kind of corporate hierarchy and bring strong leadership skills. Your very good English skills, both written and spoken gives you the ability communicate your ideas and strategy. Being the contact partner for the production sites in France your language skills must be **fluently in French.**
