Team Intro
The category team plays a core role in designing the overall category strategy and execution plan and driving the business to success by win-win cooperation together with the merchants and creators.

**Responsibilities**:

- Map the Fashion/Beauty category and subcategories landscape, and define priority on which segment to be developed in collaboration with merchant and merchandise strategy team
- Define a go-to market strategy for a category/sub-category and build clear roadmap to manage long-tail sellers
- Plan, execute and maintain category performance:

- Merchant acquisition: identify potential merchants, meet their POC and build relationships through various approaches (i.e. trade show, online search, cold call etc), and summarize and leverage the good showcases to onboard merchants from same group
- Merchant onboarding: build merchant onboarding solution (including business model suggestions, creator affiliation, merchant education) and support the merchant to solve any problem during the onboarding process
- Merchant incubation: set up their mid and long term account plan and help them grow their business sustainably on the platform by fully leveraging campaigns and incentives through daily operation
- Work cross functionally with internal teams and external service vendors to help merchants with live streaming and short videos on platform
- Own internal projects to contribute to the fashion/beauty ecosystem as a whole (including campaigns, product launches, B2B marketing)
- Come up with initiatives to continuously improve competitiveness advantage

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years experience of relatable in-category management, at an e-commerce company, a large retailer, or agency side with specialism in category.
- Strong knowledge of the local merchant landscape, consumer demands, digital evolution and mobile transformation.
- Well connected to key sellers/brand distributors within the industry
- A fast learner with a good sense of judgment and original thinking.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and adapt quickly to change.
- Sales oriented mindset. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Attention to detail, affinity with numbers, and strong problem solving skills
- Customer service orientation and experience working in a client facing capacity.
- A commercial mindset with a history of delivering against stretching performance goals.
- Practical experience in social commerce, content marketing and influencers in the category
