This role will offer an excellent foundation for a professional teacher seeking a significant leadership responsibility.
- Experience of teaching up to and including A level/IB
- The ability to be a role model and relate well to senior students
- An understanding of the drives and ambitions of the 16+ age cohort
- A commitment to harnessing the power of student voice
- An understanding of diversity, equality and inclusion
- Personal empathy, compassion and resilience
- The imagination to contribute to a forging a new strategic direction for the sixth Form
- Having the ability to engender a culture of loyalty and ambition
- An excellent communicator, orally in writing, with the ability to be the “voice” of XIC Sixth
- A team player, ready to mentor sixth form tutors, make a wider contribution to the work of the senior leadership team and participate in the school as a whole

The welfare of the staff in XIC is of paramount importance, and considerable focus is placed on this aspect of college life. Initiative and the development of new and interesting opportunities for the College community to thrive on is encouraged. It is hoped that staff members will grow in experience and further develop their approach to students learning whilst in College.

Contented and motivated staff deliver exciting and interesting challenges for the students and the synergy that exist between them provides an excellent learning environment.
