**Play your part bringing together mobility and responsibility by joining Alstom Team as **_EHS Technician_** in Madrid, Spain**

**Your future role**

You'll provide support of Environmental, Health and Safety standards, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and developing ALSTOM requirements. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering), cooperate with the internal resources to achieve EHS objectives and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of** coordinating EHS own service, and monitoring legal requirements in all the business units** but also monitoring that the activities of contractors are managed with respect to EHS, especially where interfaces are involved with other contractors or operational areas.

We’ll look to you for:

- Advise other Site personnel on all aspects of EHS applicable to site activities.
- Modification/Adaptation of the existing tool to users’ needs (reporting tools).
- Standardization of tools and processes in close collaboration with business units.
- Ensure that tools and processes implemented are aligned with the quality level required by Alstom Group.
- Provides and assists risks assessments by participating in processes and procedures and researching best practices and regulatory requirements of the Sites (Manufacturing, Depots, Projects and Services sites, Alstom facilities,)
- Monitoring the contractor’s compliance with legal and Alstom´s requirements.
- Coordinate the review and approval of EHS Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Develops and assists in the development of technical documents including Emergency Plans, Health and Safety Project / Services Plans, Environmental Project / Services Plans, EHS procedures, EHS programs, guidance documents, etc.
- Recognize the best practices and the good performance. React to violations to regulations and Alstom Standards.
- Perform EHS audit of subcontractors.
- Support to the EHS Country Manager in the deployment of EHS Committees.
- Supports the EHS Team in the development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of Environmental Health and Safety programs, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, ISO14001 and ISO45001 program development, EHS Alstom requirements and Customer’s requirements, Health & Wellbeing campaigns
- Deploy Alstom EHS Standards and tools (Directives, Specific Requirements, etc.) Implements Alstom Zero Deviation Plan and other Alstom EHS campaigns. Support to the deployment of APSYS EHS roadmap.
- Assist the Country EHS Manager to ensure compliance of the site activities according to the EHS Plan, guidelines and work instructions.
- Perform EHS legal compliance checks for specific requirements.
- Ensure the Coordination of Business Activities in sites (Manufacturing, Depots, Projects and Services sites, Alstom facilities,)
- Liaise with the customers and contractors on EHS matters.
- Liaise with the regulatory EHS Authorities and external services.
- Inform, instruct and train employees to carry out the work in safe & environment-friendly mode according to the method of statement.
- Participate in the implementation of the site EHS training programs by providing EHS inductions and ensuring Tool Box meetings are organized. Present the EHS induction program for new employees.
- Support the preparation of monthly EHS reports. Can be in charge of feeding EHS Teranga reporting system in line with Group reporting requirements and under control by Site EHS manager.
- Carry out inspections of work areas and carry out EHS audits and report any discrepancy.
- Maintains EHS files and records. Records data and compiles it into statistical analyses and reports. Maintains various reporting systems and provides safety analysis as required.
- Ensure that any near misses/accidents/incidents are first prevented, controlled and when occurring reported, recorded, investigated an analysed. Establish and communicate incidents reports including EHS alerts. Support for event analysis in EHS Connect.
- Alert the Country EHS manager of EHS situations and non-compliances.
- Prepare and submit monthly EHS reports.
- Participates in EHS site audits, inspections and routine surveys including the developing of audit documentation, tracking corrective actions, and monitoring trends in results of audit activities. Conducts investigations and root cause analysis. Implements corrective/preventative actions and continuous improvement activities.
