**Technical Product Manager**
Full-time / Hybrid role
Position Overview:
As a Technical Product Manager in the natural food industry at NSI, you will have a pivotal role in managing our product portfolio. You will be responsible for creating and validating product specifications, enhancing existing products, overseeing product nutrition and formulation, and ensuring strict compliance with labeling and regulatory requirements. Your expertise in technical aspects of the natural food industry will be instrumental in delivering high-quality products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Specification Management: Develop and maintain detailed product specifications, including ingredient lists, nutritional information, and formulation details.
- Specification Validation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate and ensure product specifications align with company standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
- Product Improvement: Continuously analyze and improve existing products, addressing issues related to taste, texture, nutritional content, and overall quality.
- Nutrition and Formulation Oversight: Work closely with procurement and production teams to develop and maintain optimal product formulations, ensuring they meet nutritional goals and align with consumer preferences.
- Labeling and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all product labels meet regulatory compliance and convey accurate and transparent information to consumers.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee quality control processes to guarantee that products consistently meet high-quality standards and remain compliant with all relevant regulations.
- Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive products, and consumer preferences to drive product enhancements.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate within development, procurement, and operations teams to ensure all aspects align with product specifications and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field. Masters degree is a plus.
- 8-10 years of proven experience in natural food product development, with a strong focus on organic and sustainable practices.
- Proficiency in food science, recipe formulation, and product scaling.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and certifications.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration and supplier negotiations.
