About Ukio | We are one of the most promising startups of 2023 with headquarters in Spain. We do this by disrupting the traditional residential real estate market, providing fully furnished and artfully designed apartments for stays starting at one month. We remove all the hassle around finding a rental with no long-term contracts, security deposits, broker fees, moving/buying furniture, etc., giving choice and flexibility to allow people to plant their roots anywhere .
Backed by Europe's best Venture Capital firms, this year will be vital in our growth as we look to further build out our team, further establish ourselves in our current markets, and expand our reach into multiple new markets . We are currently ranked in the top 10 startups in Spain by Linkedin, and we have successfully raised a Series A investment round of €27 million that will help propel our growth throughout Western Europe and bring us closer to reaching our goals.

Role |We are seeking a Junior People Operations Specialist to join Ukio's People team based in our Barcelona office. Together with the rest of the team, you will be our first point of contact for all employee queries across the business. You will be in charge of Onboarding new team members across the business and supporting them understanding their path at Ukio through our mission, values, benefits and processes. The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys connecting with people and is brilliant at communicating with international teams.
Reporting directly into the Senior People Operations, you'll be the go-to person on the ground for all employees across Ukio. You will ensure an aligned and consistent approach to people operations across the business, delivering exceptional results against the People Team strategy and goals.
Responsibilities | First point of contact for employees across Ukio People-related topics. Oversee all stages of the employee lifecycle for employees across multiple markets. Ensuring an engaging and consistent experience. Manage and execute all the administrative steps to enroll a new employee at any Ukio location. Work as a team with the rest of the People Team to ensure alignment and consistency across markets. Support the rest of the People Operations team with all employee lifecycle administration of our UKIO's teams across Europe. Support the rest of the People Operations team on guiding and promoting local market benefits offering. Be a culture champion: Role model the Ukio values and drive forward culture & values initiatives across the business. Responsible for data accuracy in our people systems (HiBob and others), ensuring timely administration and quality of local people data. Partnering with the People Team leadership and working collaboratively with the wider People team to deliver on key strategic projects including brainstorming, development, launch and training phases. About you | A mínimum of 1 year experience in HR Generalist role Basic labor knowledge in Spanish, Portuguese, French, Germanic or British legislation Reactive, employee-centric in your approach Empathetic & a great listener who can demonstrate a good balance of emotional intelligence with pragmatic judgment. Excellent organization, prioritization & attention to detail. Data-driven and logical in your thinking. Tech-savvy and confident navigating around new systems independently Self-starter and willing to support expansion. Fluent in Spanish and English (C level) and excellent communication skills. Any additional language (Portuguese, French, German, Italian) will be a plus. Flexible, resilient and content with ambiguity and changes. Confident with working in cross-functional teams. Comfortable performing in a start-up environment.
