Global Accounting Delivery (GAD) is a team of 400 people operating from six different countries and representing over 30 nationalities Our focus is to deliver compliant and quality assured financial information faster and smarter to support business decisions. In GAD, dedicated professionals are working in a dynamic and customer focused environment. Currently, the Cash & Bank (C&B) team is looking for an Accountant to join the Polestar team. Polestar is an all-electric car Swedish brand, which is sold directly and online to consumers. Polestar operates as a start-up within the organization and is listed on Nasdaq. What you'll do The main purpose of the C&B Accountant is to perform a range of banking and accounting activities to support the company's financial operations. This role involves accurately recording transactions, reconciling bank accounts and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies. You will be involved in month-end and year-end closings, perform bank and intercompany loan reconciliations, and ensure all bank entries are properly posted into our ERPs.Examples of everyday tasks include day-to-day accounting and related questions of varying complexity, process development and management on a global level, as well as delivering high quality service and advice to customers and stakeholders. You will report to the Cash & Bank Manager for Polestar. Job Responsibilities:
- Process and record financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and journal entries
