Join Gilead and help create possible, together.The PositionReporting to the Senior Director, Public Affairs, (EU5), this role is responsible for delivering strategic branded and unbranded external communication programs for Gilead's Oncology area. Works closely with the TA teams based at Stockley Park and Foster City and local market cross functional TA colleagues.Job duties include:Representing Public Affairs internally as part of the cross functional team and externally with a variety of different stakeholdersSetting new TA communications strategy for the market in alignment with global direction and local market inputCoordination with cross-functional colleagues to ensure alignment and collaboration in strategic priorities and messaging across different stakeholders.Providing leadership and support for the implementation of in-market PR activitiesDevelopment/strengthening of relationships with a wide variety of external organizations and professionals, media and other influential organizations in those TAsPreparation of communications materials, including strategic programs, key messages, Q&A documents, press releases, presentations, etc.Response to media requests and coordination of interviews with Gilead spokespeople and opinion leader spokespeople as appropriateIssues mitigation and managementUnderstanding of the regulatory frameworks in the market and ability to manage approvals and interactions with the review team.Knowledge, Experience and Skills:Market level or pan-EU experience in product PR, media and advocacy.Ability to understand and accurately communicate complex science.Demonstrated experience in media relations (traditional and social), issues management; knowledge of healthcareand industry media and reporting trends
