Title: UABOS SPAIN LN: WRM Mechanic

Belong, Connect, Grow, with KBR Program Summary KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey. Our services ensure smooth operations, allowing Air Force and government personnel to focus on their missions. We provide program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare, and recreation support, among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center, our contract spans a five-year base period with three one-year options, reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.

Job Summary Performs minor and major maintenance on various types of General and Special purpose vehicles and equipment, to include flightline and heavy construction assets. This also includes repairs on light and heavy-duty vehicles such as buses, truck and semi-trailer combinations, forklifts, and wrecker/recovery vehicles. Performs motor vehicle preventative maintenance checks and inspections on various Air Force vehicles. Additionally, must complete administrative work order and parts request forms to complete maintenance actions, and request parts for Military vehicles.

Roles and Responsibilities Perform minor and major maintenance on Government Vehicles (GOVs), and complete vehicle work order request forms according to Air Force instructions (AFI) Inspect and repair military, industrial, and commercial designed base maintenance, material handling, special purpose, general purpose vehicles Determine general condition of Government vehicles and perform Limited Technical Inspections (LTIs) Diagnose unusual noises, road test and operate vehicles to test components Remove, disassemble, repair and replace components, assemblies and subassemblies, and reinstall as required to maintain vehicles in safe operating conditions Perform functional tests and repairs on water and fuel pumping systems, cable and hydraulic lifting equipment, forklifts, towing equipment, gasoline, and diesel-powered engines Make operational adjustments on drag brakes, relief valves, operating chains, lift cylinders, clutches, transmissions, brakes, and engine components Perform lubrication, oil and filter changes on Government fleet vehicles and equipment Perform minor corrosion control repairs detected during safety, scheduled and unscheduled inspections Perform collateral duties associated with vehicle maintenance practices to include administrative processes, i.e., vehicle work order and parts request forms Limited use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook Basic Qualifications Must be certified as a vehicle mechanic and mechanical systems Must have a host nation or equivalent driver's permit Qualifications Read, write, speak, and understand English at a basic level 1 (B1) KBR Benefits Local (LN) personnel will receive benefits in accordance with the collective labor agreement (CLA) within the appropriate country location where they reside.
