Who we're looking for: We're looking for a strong Senior Accountant to join our team. You'll primarily be responsible for supporting our US Accounting team with month-end close and reconciliations. This role will assist in properly recording revenue, accruals, reconciling and reviewing general ledger accounts, preparing and completing month-end close procedures, and assisting with our monthly financial statement variance analysis. You'll also be responsible for assisting in Rover's annual US audit, suggesting ways to improve processes and gain efficiencies, and assisting with mentoring junior staff. You'll succeed in this role if you are committed to operational excellence, focused on impact, crush assignments while striving to be a serious performer, and don't take yourself too seriously. Your Responsibilities: Prepare and record month-end journal entries and accruals Perform account reconciliations in a timely manner and resolve variances each month Assist in performing monthly variance analysis Research and review transactions and provide necessary complex analyses Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures Review current processes and provide recommendations to management for improvement that will accommodate future growth Assist with US financial statement audit Assist in documenting and maintaining internal controls Your Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent (ie
