Graduate Technician
Diabetes and Metabolism Department
Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) is a public institution located in Barcelona (Spain) that promotes and develops innovative biomedical research.
Our group is looking for a graduate laboratory technician to work on a 4-month project related to the development of a proof of concept to find a new therapeutic strategy for the treatment of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) under the supervision of Dr. David M Selva.
Job Description
Education and Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Life/Health Sciences or Biomedical Research (Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedicine)
Desired: Master's Degree in Life/Health Sciences or Biomedical Research
Experience and Knowledge:
Required: Experience in molecular and cellular techniques.
Good communication skills.
Good computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Access)
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
Participate in the development of the PCOS mouse model (2 months).
Participate in the sample processing and analysis of in vivo experiments related to the development of a new therapy to treat PCOS (2 months).
Labour Conditions:
Part-time position: 37.5h/week.
Starting date: immediate.
Gross annual salary: 21,396.77 euros (Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale).
Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities.
