Your role As Nutrition Scientist, your role will be responsible for studying food's chemical composition, the reactions that occur during processing, production, and storage, and the implications for dog and cat's nutrition and health. Responsibilities will include researching and understanding the design of new raw materials and new ingredients, and testing them in vitro or in vivo on our HQ in Barcelona within the R&D and Operations team. What you will do Reporting to the Research Manager, the position involves the following responsibilities: Manage research projects within Affinity research programs and budget, developed internally or contracted with Universities or research centers. Work on developing food and ingredient science, preparing Nutrition guidelines and technical positions of the company Establish and maintain partnerships with research international institutions and key opinion leaders Present Affinity scientific communications to scientific congresses and journals Support Technical Communication in passing the information from research projects to the new product development team and marketing. What we are looking for University Degree in Biochemical / Vet / Biology & a PhD related to pet nutrition, molecular biology, or food science. At least three scientific research papers. Demonstrated good knowledge of in vitro trials methodology and designing research projects or Nutrition science (food and ingredients/nutrition/process and health). At least 2 years working in an Industry Company. Desirable experience in petfood nutrition business. English is a must. French or Italian are highly desirable.
