Overview
We have a great opportunity for an Inside Sales System Account Manager to join our System Sales Organization. As a member of this team, you will find and qualify prospects, manage all stages of the sales opportunity process and close orders.
To stimulate growth and increase our market share, you will initiate and answer sales calls directly to existing customers as well as dormant or competitive accounts.
You will be accountable for a defined geography with clear goals and a great flexibility in how you approach this task. This is a remote sales position and would suit an experienced sales professional who is looking to work more flexible.
You will report to the System Sales Manager and you will be based in our office in Barcelona.
Responsibilities
As an active member of System Sales team, this position requires daily interactions with our customers and all members of our sales organization.
Act as the first point of contact for our users seeking technical or commercial information, you will also ensure the quality and follow-up of shared information internally.
Drive and develop System Sales by Teams and phone calls responding to customers questions and taking orders in a defined sales territory.
Execute Corporate strategic initiatives to stimulate growth and win market share:Participate in the qualification of inbound leads and drive follow-up of the various events, trade shows and webinars.Drive outbound activities in the geography covered as phone campaigns, or special events organized by Waters such as new product launches, renewal of obsolete platforms, promotional campaigns, etc.Implement proactive prospection of dormant or competitive accounts by phone, including, qualification and development in order to re-stimulate growth.
Responsible for managing sales opportunities remotely, working in collaboration with other members of the sales team (Sales Specialists, Application Specialists etc…) to close deals.
In charge of preparing commercial proposals and quotes for tenders.
Build long term relationship with customers by probing for needs, recommending appropriate solutions, and ensuring the optimum customer experience and satisfaction.
Daily reporting of your activities, updating opportunities in the customer database in the CRM (Sales Force).
Back up of our sales assistant for tender management.
Qualifications
Education:
Engineer or Master's degree in Science.
fields: Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biology/Pharmaceutical Chemistry
Experience:
Knowledge of our industry.
Experience in Liquid Chromatography / Mass Spectrometry.
Ideally sales experience, or customer-facing experience in our industry. This role would suit an experienced sales professional looking for the flexibility of working from office.
Competencies:
Proficiency in Microsoft environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and CRM.
Fluency in English - and other European languages. Fluency in Portuguese will be an added advantage.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Commercial aptitude, with the ability to positively influence a purchasing decision to close deals - Customer focus - good presentation and listening skills - Autonomy - Perseverance - Management of priorities - Organizational skills.
Team spirit and willingness to work in an integrated Sales/Service organization. Communication with all company departments (other sales divisions, customer service, marketing, laboratory, implementation department, sales administration, finance, etc.).
