We are seeking a visionary and experienced Head of Science to lead our data science, machine learning, and research efforts. As the Head of Science, you will be responsible for driving the scientific and analytical strategy of the company, developing teams, tools, and processes, and ensuring that our products and services are backed by cutting-edge research and advanced analytics. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to innovate and apply data-driven insights to enhance our AdTech solutions.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute a strategic vision for the data science, machine learning, and research function that aligns with the company's business objectives.- Build, lead, and mentor a team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, researchers, and analysts, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.- Define and develop tools and processes that allow the team to achieve goals.- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems.- Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to integrate scientific insights into product development and business strategies.- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, and apply them to improve our products and services.- Drive the publication of research findings and white papers, establishing Appodeal as a thought leader in the AdTech industry.- Develop partnerships with academic institutions, research organizations, and industry experts to stay at the forefront of scientific innovation.- Present scientific findings and insights to senior leadership and stakeholders, providing actionable recommendations.Qualifications:- PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.- 6+ years of experience in data science, research, or a related role, with a proven track record of leading scientific initiatives at a senior level.- Strong expertise in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and statistical modeling.- Experience with big data technologies, cloud platforms, and data engineering.- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts to non-technical audiences.- Proven ability to drive innovation and apply scientific research to solve real-world business problems.- Knowledge of the AdTech industry and advertising technologies is highly desirable.- Experience with regulatory compliance related to data protection and privacy.- Based in Barcelona or ready to relocate to Barcelona.
