Data Center Operation Technician

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a fast paced technology company and a leader in the world of data centers. We are looking for technical engineers who are interested in joining an elite team and eager to learn the skills necessary to maintain one of the world's largest IT infrastructures in AWS Data Centers.
The successful candidate shall follow standard processes/procedures and maintain high operational standards in supporting advanced hardware, servers, storage and networking devices. They need to adapt to fast and constantly changing environment and will require shift work including weekend and holiday for 7x24 basis.
Key job responsibilities7x24 roster duty in data center operationsIncident first responder and onsite hands on supportBreak-fix and troubleshooting according to process guidelineMaintain proper media operations according to process guidelineCapacity landing and decommissioning according to process guidelineSite management and maintain tidiness in operation areasInnovate and contribute from day-to-day operation experiences to improve operation efficiency BASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor or equivalent qualifications in Information Technology / Computer Science / Engineering or related disciplines.1 year experience in server / network hardware and operation systems maintenance / troubleshooting.Basic knowledge of network cabling (fiber optic) and operation support experience.Sound understanding on incidents response and prioritization.Basic level of English in read/write and verbal communication. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSIndustry experience in Data Center Operations.Knowledge on data center networkingKnowledge on cloud computingKnowledge on continuous process improvement.Understanding of data center safety and security environment.
