Electrical Engineering Technician (Data Centers), Data Center Engineering Operations

We are looking for a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. The Data Center Engineering Operations Technician is a hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation responder. If you like to apply your electrical and mechanical skills to solve problems, we’d like to meet you. Your work will help to maintain one of the world's largest information system infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure that the preventive maintenance of site-critical facility infrastructure is planned and executed to the highest standards, in accordance with AWS procedures.
  2. Promote a world-class safety culture in all aspects of operational procedure.
  3. Perform frequent site interventions, critical switching activities, along with troubleshooting and fixing infrastructure issues.
  4. Work semi-autonomously in operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in data centers ensuring all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work.
  5. Draft, update & maintain method statements, standard operating procedures, emergency response procedures, preventive maintenance programs, and all technical documentation pertaining to the Operation department.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory.
  • High school or equivalent diploma.
  • CFGS / FPII Electromechanical maintenance, power plants, electrical installations, renewable energies.
  • Experience in data center engineering.
  • Knowledge of data center capacity planning and reporting.
  • Ability to draft accurate support procedures, compile system documentation, and issue tracking entries while taking full ownership of technical issues.
