At Ad4Octogono we are looking for an AWS DevOps Engineer with at least 3 years of experience to join our team, preferably in Madrid or Malaga.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / ROLE
Taking responsibility for the software delivery by ensuring quality and scope expectations are met;
Developing user stories working solo or pairing with a colleague;
Discussing functional and technical solutions with the different stakeholders in the business, UX designers, architecture, and engineering managers to ensure user stories are refined and understood at the correct level;
Ensuring delivered solutions are developed under DevOps practices and the latest technology trends;
Keeping the solutions delivered running healthy in production, minimizing incidents and maximizing quality of service;
A software engineer who takes pride in their craftsmanship and in the results that they deliver.
Requirements:
Mandatory skills
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of AWS services.
Strong knowledge writing Infrastructure as Code (IaaC), preferably Terraform.
Proficiency in DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Kong, GitLab, Jenkins, and GitHub.
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, ECS) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
AWS and DevOps certifications are desirable but not essential.
Experience with ECS, ECR, EKS, EC2, Fargate, Lambdas, IAM, RDS, relational and non-relational databases, document management (MongoDB), PostgreSQL, MariaDB, etc.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice to have:
Experience of using architecture tools, e.g., Avolution Abacus.
Salesforce Architecture Certification: Admin, App Builder, Sales Consultant, Service Consultant.
Knowledge and experience of AWS & Cloud Architectures.
Experience building APIs.
Understanding of industry reference models and approaches such as TOGAF, BIAN, ARCHIMATE, C4.
