Founded in 1978, JAS is headquartered in Atlanta, GA, USANow we are looking for a newSenior Customs Broker to join our team in JAS Spain, the post location can either be in our BCN office or our MAD HQ. SUMMARY: The Customs Broker will be responsible for operational customs clearance duties and operational procedures, for import and export goods and shipments to release. Will be responsible for operational excellence, support product initiatives, filling, document processing and customer service function at the national level for import and export release procedures solving critical issues in the operational customs clearance duties and coordination with the Custom local Agent when it is need it.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Coordinate duties with local authorities for customs at National Level and fulfill with the operational requirements compliance in guidelines with the supervisor.Awareness to key import and export vertical market in order to work closely with M&S development.To support in sub-contractor management function, supplier and control for agreement and monitoring of their performance (customs agent, clearance and release, etc.)Responsible format filling and filing statement in cooperation with OPS into the country.Work closely with operations partners (AE AI OE OI), customer service department and Sales Team to define necessary product to achieve the targets budgeted.To Work in accordance to the compliance rules and policy.Relation with customers and post landing transportation or inbound.To support sales representatives helping to gather information of potential customers for technical purposes or potential business in customs clearance services.QUALIFICATIONS:Excellent organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal skillsStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office suiteDetail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlinesSelf-motivated, able to work in a team and independently User experience with CargoWise will be highly valued. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Certification as a customs broker with national/local scope or equivalent.is prefered.5+ years experience as part of the customs department.Knowledge and experience in Air & Ocean freight Operations duties.Knowledge in cost control of Customs billingHighly motivated leader who is adept at working in a competitive, challenging and fast-paced work environment.English proficiency language (written and speaking). #J-18808-Ljbffr
