Education and qualifications: Required: Degree in Medicine Specialist training in Paediatrics (via MIR or equivalent) Experience and knowledge: Required: Experience in Paediatric Oncology (>5 years).
Experience in managing AYA cancer patients (>2 years) Desired: Training in biomedical research, good clinical practice, palliative care, advanced life support Experience in Clinical Trials in Paediatric Oncology (>2 years).
Experience in Research in Paediatric Oncology (> 2 years) Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team  Knowledge of medical English   Main responsibilities and duties: The Paediatric Haematology and Oncology Division of Vall d'Hebron Hospital treats around 120 children and adolescents with cancer per year as well as up to 500 new patients with haematological conditions and performs 50 stem cell transplant.
The unit is part of the European Innovative Therapies for Children with Cancer (ITCC) consortium and has an ambitious clinical research program including early and late phase trials, a personalised medicine programme and multiple lines of research in stem cell transplant, sarcomas, neuroblastoma, CNS tumours and non-malignant haematology.
All research is conducted through the Translational Research in Child and Adolescent Cancer Group of VHIR.
There are 30 early phase and 18 late phase clinical trials ongoing.
The candidate will join a very active team of 16 paediatric haematology and oncology consultants, 4 clinical fellows, 3 study coordinators, 2 data managers and 1 research nurse, and be involved in the day-to-day conduct of late phase clinical trials & patient registries.
Participation in recruitment and trial-related activities of AYA patients enrolled & registries.
Provide comprehensive care for AYA patients, addressing their medical and psychosocial needs Participating in multidisciplinary care teams, contributing to the development and implementation of treatment plans, and conducting clinical assessments To engage in research initiatives focused on improving outcomes for AYA patients, as well as to design and deliver educational sessions for these patients.
Labour conditions: Full-time position: 40 h/week.
Starting date: immediate.
Gross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills.
Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale.
Contract :   Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities falling under Group 1 and 2.
