Join our growing team at Hawk-Eye Innovations and become a Match Operations Assistant, VAR in the Spanish Leagues**Location**: The majority of work will take place on-site at stadiums in Pamplona and the surrounding regions, with further opportunities for travel across Spain and Europe.**Contract**: Freelance, Casual**Salary**: €150 per day**Start Date**: Immediate**About the Role**- We are recruiting to fill Match Operations Assistant, VAR roles within our expanding Football department in Spain. You will be integral to the delivery of our services in La Liga and La Liga 2, as well as the UEFA Champions League and Europa League.- Working day expectations:- Match Day ->Arrival up to 6 hours pre-Kick Off.- Match Day ->End of day up to 2 hours post game completion.- There are also varied needs during the setup day/s which may require the assistants to be present on the day/s before match day.- The role requires the consultant to be flexible with work hours depending on the needs of the onsite team.- We are looking for committed and passionate people that are willing, and able to work throughout the football season. Please consider that this work is likely to be mostly on the weekend with some midweek fixtures.- We will equip you with the technical training, support and full exposure to our systems to perform your day to day tasks but also encourage development and progression to help make an impact on what we do.Key Responsibilities- Match Operations Assistants have various responsibilities, depending on the role assigned. These may include:- Setting up the VAR system technology; - Setting up the audio system technology; - Setting up the Video Review System technology; - Run cabling;- Troubleshoot issues with the hardware and associated software; - Conducting pre-match checks of the systems in accordance with standard procedures; - Liaising with football officials, stadium/club personnel, match officials and host broadcasters both on-site and remotely; - Monitoring and operating the technologies during matches; - Building and maintaining our hardware and equipment; - Software configuration and testing; - Monitoring and operating the system during the match.- - Skills, Knowledge and Expertise- ESSENTIAL:- A strong technical background; - Bright and enterprising with excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills; - Proactive, responsible attitude and ability to work on your own initiative; - Time management skills and ability to work in a high pressure, procedural, live broadcast environment; - Ability to liaisewith clients and customers in a professional and approachable manner with attention to good communication; - Full valid driving licence with more than 2 years driving experience required; - Working proficiency in English and Spanish required; - Able to adapt to flexible working conditions with irregular working days including weekends and longer days.- PREFERRED:- A university degree in science, technology, engineering course or relevant equivalent experience; - An interest in sport and/or sports analysis, with a good knowledge of football and the rules of the game; - Good knowledge offootball and the rules of the game; - Experience working with VT/replay technology desirable, or live event/technical production; - CARNET C/E.-At Hawk-Eye Innovations, we appreciate and value the importance of potential and growth.
