The purpose of this position is to support the Assistant Production Manager in ensuring proper execution of the systems and procedures for the production of animal health, food or personal and homecare products.
Provide assistance in ensuring all programs are in accordance with the company's quality standards, with strict compliance to CGMP, Food Safety, HALAL, and ISO requirements.
Assist in ensuring efficient utilization of the manufacturing plant in support to the sales and marketing requirements of the business unit, in the attainment of the company's overall business goals.
Assist in planning the production schedules and ensuring that all operations are carried out within the required time and established costs.
Job Scope: Assist in leading the production of animal health, food, or personal and homecare products in accordance with quality specifications and established production costs.
Assist in ensuring safety programs are incorporated in the manufacturing system.
Assist in leading the standardization of production efficiency, productivity, and plant utilization.
Assist in ensuring procedures for current GMP, Food Safety, HALAL, and work Safety in manufacturing operations are in place and fully implemented.
Assist in ensuring production equipment and utilities are managed in accordance with the company's maintenance program.
Duties Responsibilities: Ensure through monitoring and checking of the production areas that the processing and packaging directions are consistently and correctly followed in accordance with the set Standard Operating Procedures, CGMP guidelines, Food Safety, HALAL, and other statutory requirements.
Ensure that the required reports in the manufacturing operation (soft copy or hard copy) are accomplished and submitted within the required lead time.
Ensure the production of products through processing and subsequent packaging up to the delivery of finished products to the warehouse is within the lead time based on delivery schedule.
Assist in executing the Production Schedule and ensure scheduling is in accordance with efficiency, cost, and productivity targets.
Assist in submitting copies of Weekly Production Schedule, Plan for the Day, and Production End Day Report to all concerned departments.
Take charge in the absence of the Assistant Production Manager on any concern related to production that needs immediate approval or decision, subject for corresponding report for the latter's information and alignment.
Closely coordinate with the Assistant Production Manager in the production line-up scheduling and identification of production personnel requirement in the line, to ensure attainment of the expected output for the day.
Coordinate closely with the Material Planner on the products to be scheduled for production.
Generate product labels for production use.
Lead, monitor and check safe-keeping of production tools/gadgets, equipment, supplies, and utilities.
Ensure proper documentation of production operations and that BPR, line clearance and cleaning checklists, log books, and forms are properly filled up on time.
Ensure that cleaning of equipment before and after production, and regular housekeeping is performed by the production personnel.
Assist in documenting incidents and generating feasible solutions for production failures encountered in the manufacturing operations.
Assist in ensuring all production equipment are correctly validated and efficiently utilized.
Assist in monitoring production product standards and implementation of quality-control programs in production.
Assist in ensuring production KPI results are within target and all programs in support to implementation are in place such as ensuring updated OEE file.
Assist in ensuring safety program is in place and is fully implemented in the manufacturing operations, such as the use of PPEs and the Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) system.
Assist in maintaining high level of employee morale, competence, development, and training.
Assist in the implementation and execution of the department's continuous improvement program.
Perform inventory count, monitoring and issuance of consumables, cleaning materials and PPEs for production use.
Assist in accurate and on-time SAP transactions.
Equipment and Machines Needed: Computer unit/Laptop, Office Tools and Supplies, Printer/photo copy machine, landline phone.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Graduate of Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, Food Technology, Pharmacy or any four (4) year Science-related course.
Years of Related Work Experience: With at least three (3) years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing firm leading sets of production people.
Job Skills/Competencies Required: Essential skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
Good organizational, leadership, and time management skills.
Pro-active, can work under pressure and longer hours.
Basic knowledge of quality standards, CGMP, Food Safety and Work safety regulations.
Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
With analytical and problem-solving skills.
Technical Skills: Practical knowledge in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Office 365).
Preferably with knowledge in ERP software (SAP).
Preferably with knowledge in production equipment operation.
