Job summary
MISSION:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of chemical plant construction processes, excellent leadership abilities, and fluency in English and Spanish to effectively manage multilingual teams.
TASKS:
Lead and manage the overall construction activities for chemical plant projects, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, budget, and schedule requirements.
Develop and implement detailed construction plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Supervise and manage on-site contractors, subcontractors, and labor forces, ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.
Monitor construction progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement corrective actions.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Oversee the preparation and submission of progress reports, including status updates for management and clients.
Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of construction activities, materials, and inspections.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
15+ years of experience in construction management, with a focus on chemical plant projects.
Proven expertise in managing construction activities in compliance with international standards and codes.
Fluent in English and Spanish, written and spoken.
Strong leadership and team management skills with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Proficient in project management tools, scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project), and MS Office Suite.
Comprehensive knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices in the construction of chemical plants.
