Tax Supervisor Barcelona, Spain | Full Time Are you a skilled tax professional with a passion for accurate financial reporting?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Tax Manager specializing in Accounting for Income Taxes.
In this role, you will collaborate with global teams, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and leading a team to meet deadlines and address complex tax accounting issues.
Reporting to the Global Controller, you will play a crucial role in our organization's financial success.
Objectives Manage tax compliance process ensuring compliance with laws and regulations within timeframe.
Support with Global Tax Planning.
Ensure IC transactions are correctly calculated, documented, and aligned with the transfer pricing policy.
Assess and research difficult tax issues to identify solutions.
Improve tax compliance processes by developing or implementing best practices.
Responsibilities Coordinate and collaborate with the Corporate Tax Department at our Santa Monica headquarters.
Work closely with internal tax and accounting staff, as well as external advisors, to prepare workpaper packages for income tax provisions.
Prepare and analyze current and income tax expenses for non-US jurisdictions.
Develop monthly income tax account roll forward schedules.
Prepare book-to-tax differences from US GAAP, converting pre-tax income to statutory net income to taxable income.
Reconcile deferred tax assets and liabilities.
Generate return-to-provision reconciliations.
Prepare quarterly and annual projections of pre-tax income by jurisdiction, ensuring compliance with transfer pricing principles.
Identify process improvement opportunities within the tax function and contribute to their implementation.
Support income tax credits and identify potential tax credit opportunities.
Collaborate with your direct supervisor on various activities.
Performance Indicators Annual fiscal compliance rate improvement to 95%.
5% rate of delays in all Tax filings.
Meet monthly reporting deadlines.
No audit errors related to Tax GL accounts.
Skills & Requirements Public accountant with at least 5 years of work experience in Taxes.
Big4 and MNE experience is mandatory.
Knowledge of the tax regulations in APAC.
Analytic skills; communication (spoken & written) - capacity to engage with top management and peers; project management; attention to detail; teamwork.
Financial literacy: capacity to work with financial statements, financial projections, and valuation models.
Soft Skills Team-player, always on attitude, coachable, and positively minded.
Hard Skills Familiarity with Thompson One Source Tax Provision software.
Excellent Excel skills, including data extraction and manipulation using pivot tables, Microsoft Excel, Alteryx, Tableau, etc.
Comfortable working with NetSuite ERP system.
Familiarity with transfer pricing principles.
Languages Fluency in both Spanish and English is a must.
