The role involves providing hands-on experience, work direction, technical guidance, and supervision for work crews involved in the fabrication, welding, and repair of plant pressure vessels, piping, and auxiliary equipment.
The technician may also serve as a mentor if required.MSSD boasts state-of-the-art workshops and facilities driven by its most valuable asset: the department's skilled and experienced workforce.

The department plays a vital role within the company, providing support to all field organizations by maintaining and repairing corporate equipment.Responsibilities:Provides work direction for a crew of 6-10 craftsmen, ensuring quality control and productivity.
Reviews work requests to plan assignments and determine material and tool requirements.Requests materials, tools, and equipment through the SAMS system or Maintenance Planner.
Performs administrative duties as Group Head, including report writing and record-keeping of welding work.Offers technical advice to lower craftsmen, operations, and maintenance for planning TIs or large fabrication projects.
