Sales Principal Specialist The Sales Principal Specialist is responsible for prospecting & developing existing accounts that work with our organization on other products, while maintaining a high renewal rate of existing Product solutions customers.
This position also functions as the region's knowledge expert and participates in the training of commercial people to effectively sell those solutions. This role is the liaison point between the Global Product Organization and the Region Commercial Team.
In this role you'll / Your main responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
Within the region, promote and drive strong results for Amadeus Hospitality
Be the recognized Specialist on the product set (Amadeus Integrated Booking Suite: Reservations, GMS, Web) assigned both externally to customers and internally within the regional Organization
Provide Client Demonstrations, demos & Project Discovery work for any High Value customer new sale / renewal sale
Lead the Preparation and the Client meetings for High value clients
Work as the Team Lead on all Bundle Solutions sales and be prepared to demo the respective and relevant solutions
Be the regional contact person for Pricing requests outside of standard rate card with relevant business cases
Maintain positive relationships and promote meaningful communication with internal and external clients
At all times, seek out new business development opportunities and maintain pipeline with relevant details
Be responsible for regional meetings on your product set and Total Sales Targets--both new and renewal
2. Product Management
Within the region, promote and localize the implementation of your product Solution set
Be the voice of the customer to the product teams, representing the region on all product related developments
Understand our competition and actively feedback relevant insights to Product, Customer Care and Sales
Attend Trade shows and industry events as directed as well as onsite or remote sales meetings with clients
3. Pre-Sales Support
Prepare proposals and RFP Documents for high value sales or renewals for the Sales & Account Management Teams
Identify sales opportunities, develop competitive business cases and support the entire Commercial Organisation in the region (Account Management, Renewals and Sales teams)
About the ideal candidate
Bachelor's degree (preferably in IT, business administration, commerce, management or related field)
Minimum of 5 years of previous experience in a Commercial, Technical Pre-Sales or Product management role within the IT hospitality or travel industry
Sales & Marketing knowledge of Hotels & Emerging Markets and able to perform detailed product demos
Excellent understanding of the IT, hotel, travel and travel distribution industry is a must
Strong understanding of ecommerce, revenue management, distribution, and customer relationship management is a must
Must have excellent knowledge of Microsoft office applications & Salesforce.com
Fluent spoken and written English and Spanish, other languages are preferred
