About the Role This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the Shopper Marketing team in Southern Europe.
The rapid change on where and how consumers shop and engage with brands has never been accelerating, creating a massive opportunity for the function to help shape the future of marketing.Winning at the POS with customers is fundamental to brand and business growth as retailers and wholesalers determine how our categories and brands are presented to consumers and shoppers.The effectiveness of our shopper marketing is therefore fundamental and will focus on driving recruitment and premiumisation across the different shopper missions and consumer.
This will involve collaborating with customer and consumer Marketing teams.
This role will be pivotal to support the channel and customer team to guarantee a step change in execution, behaviours and return on investment.The core focus of the role is to develop programs that trigger purchase of our brands over our competitors.
This involves the development of award winning programs to inspire customers to implement and consumers to consumption and purchase, effective relationships to invest AP in the right areas to drive growth and the restlessness to always demand more from themselves and others.
In this role you will: Deploy the brand marketing strategy defining the shopper elements in a consistent and inspirational ecosystem for the consumer/shopper throughout all the touchpoints of the path to consumption/purchase.Ensure the programmes fit the channel specificities and can be easily tailored by the customer activation team to meet specific customer needs.Develop the best activations and mechanics that trigger purchase of Diageo brands driving growth for our customers at the same time.Work with the new occasions' mindset to build the best activations and mechanics based on shopper/consumer behaviours per occasion.Inspire our teams and customers around a big idea that will drive growth.Develop first to market shopper tools to engage consumers in new ways.Develop a deep understanding of our activation programs to ensure we are continuously evolving and improving.Ensure robust ME is in place, to develop comprehensive understanding of behaviour change and corresponding drivers of financial performance.
About you To be successful in the role you'll need:5+ years of relevant marketing/customer marketing experience.A proven record in initiating and crafting marketing programs.Strong creative judgement and background in crafting award winning work.Strong commercial understanding (of our customers their shoppers).An individual who can get things done within Diageo and has the impact to influence across a broad network of the organization (all Southern Europe markets).An ability to encourage agencies to deliver phenomenal work and ideally some experience of working with key customers.A strong team-player, passionate for collaboration.Working with us Flexibility This is key to success in our business and many of our staff work flexibly in many different ways, including part-time and compressed hours.
